What this scan assesses
A targeted evaluation of the liver, gallbladder, common bile duct, and right kidney to check for:
- Gallstones and cholecystitis (inflammation)
- Biliary dilation/obstruction and sludge
- Fatty liver, cysts, focal lesions
- Right renal hydronephrosis, stones, or cysts
- Limited assessment of adjacent structures when visualized (e.g., porta hepatis); if a broader view is needed, we may recommend an Abdomen Complete.
